Facebook Ads for Contractors: Stop Selling the Kitchen
Nobody lies awake dreaming about quartz countertops. They lie awake thinking about the sink on the front lawn, the crew that stopped coming and the bill that keeps growing.
Yet the usual tip on Facebook ads for contractors is to show the finished job.
Good Facebook ads for contractors open on the homeowner's fear, not the finished job: the mess, the no-show or the bill. Then they show how you make that fear go away, with your town, your proof, one offer and one button.
We'd put it in a song. A cartoon can show what a camera can't, and singing makes it funny instead of grim.
A song ad is a short video where your message is sung. At 30 Second Ad Factory, the done-for-you ad team from 30 Second Productions, we write a catchy song about your business, an AI singer sings it, and we turn it into a 3D cartoon ad. You fill in a 5-minute form. It's ready in 72 hours.
Here's one we made for a bathroom remodeler.
Get one like this for your crew.

Everyone sells the after. Homeowners fear the during.
ServiceTitan's 2026 guide tells contractors to feature reviews or before-and-after photos. Handoff, writing in late 2025, says short transformation videos are the top Facebook ads for remodelers.
Fair enough. But every remodeler in your town can read those tips too. Now your white kitchen is sitting next to their white kitchen, and the homeowner can't tell you apart.
They know a new kitchen would look great. They don't know what it's like to have you in their house until it's done.
Sweeten, a service that matches homeowners with contractors, ran a survey of 700 homeowners. Business of Home reported in 2017 that 91% of those who had finished a project found it stressful.
Nobody's scared of the cabinets. They're scared of the weeks before the cabinets.

Pick the one fear that costs them sleep
Start with these three. Use the words people say at the kitchen table.
- The mess. "I've been washing dishes in the bathtub."
- The no-show. "He said Monday. Which Monday?" In a Sweeten survey of 700 homeowners, reported by JLC in 2018, 74% said not showing up on time would put them off a contractor. The same share said that about being hard to reach.
- The bill. "What do you mean, one more thing?" In that same JLC report, 80% put staying at cost among the most important things in a contractor.
Notice what's missing: skill. They assume you can hang a door. They're not sure you'll answer the phone.
So give each ad one fear, one job and one town. "Bathroom remodels in [Your Town]" beats "full-service general contractor."
Why can't you just say "reliable"?
Because everyone does. "Quality work at fair prices" fits on every truck in town.
You can film a finished kitchen. You can't film a no-show.
A cartoon can show all of it. The crew that vanished. The bill that grows legs and follows you around the house. The cat that's gone gray with dust.
Sing it, and you're not scaring anyone. You're the one who gets the joke. Every word is on screen too, so it works with the sound off.
On TV, music has a record: a 2015 Nielsen report on more than 600 ads found the ones with music beat the rest on four measures, including empathy. Facebook isn't TV, so test it.
Three Facebook ads for contractors you can steal
We wrote these for this post, so they aren't real ads and have no results behind them. Swap in your name and your town, and only sing what you really do.
The kitchen remodeler
Still cooking on a folding table?
Sink on the lawn and the crew's long gone, the phone just rings and the job drags on. [Your Name] shows up right when we say, and calls you back the very same day.
On screen: your star rating and town. Offer: free kitchen estimate in [Your Town]. Button: Get quote.
The bathroom contractor
Your cat used to be black.
Dust on the couch and dust on the cat, dust in the bed, now how about that? [Your Name] sweeps up every single day. The dust rides off when we drive away.
On screen: your rating, plus photos of your real bathrooms. Offer: free bathroom visit this month. Button: Book now.
The home addition builder
That price went up again, didn't it?
"Just one more thing," then "one more fee," that quote turned into a mystery. [Your Name] writes it line by line, and the price you see is the price you sign.
On screen: how many additions you've built in [Your Town]. Offer: free planning call. Button: Call now.
Hook, story, offer, button. Here's a real one we made for a home remodeling company.
Hear what yours could sound like.
Keep your kitchen photo
The after still has a job. It just shouldn't go first.
The fear stops the scroll. The photo proves you can finish. A cartoon can't show your real tile, so keep your job photos running beside it.
Run the song ad next to your best kitchen photo, with the same budget on each. Ask every caller where they saw you. A like never bought drywall, so count booked estimates.
Skip the song if your offer is weak or your reviews are thin, since a catchy tune won't cover that. Skip it too if you don't want an AI voice on your brand.

Does Meta count contractor ads as housing ads?
Maybe. As of November 2026, neither of Meta's two housing pages names contractors. But its Special Ad Category page lists "housing repairs" among housing services. Its ads for housing page says you may need that category if you advertise from the United States, or reach people there, in Canada or in certain parts of Europe. Skip it when you need it and your ad may be rejected.
For those ads, Meta says age, gender, postal code, lookalike and saved audiences are limited or unavailable, and city audiences get a wider radius. So the ad may have to pick its own audience. Say the job, the town and the fear out loud, and the right homeowner will know it's for them.
What does a contractor ad cost to make?
Anywhere from your own time to $800-$2,500 for a studio song with no video. A 30 Second Ad Factory song ad is $97. Your Facebook ad budget is separate.
| Way to get it made | Cost to make | Your work | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your phone | Your time | Plan, shoot, edit | Real footage, but only what a camera can catch |
| Marketplace gig | Varies by seller | Brief, then a lot of back and forth | In our view, quality is often uneven |
| Jingle studio | $800-$2,500 with vocals, per Violet Recording (2026) | Brief and reviews | The jingle, and you still need a video |
| 30 Second Ad Factory song ad | $97 for one, or 5 a month for $297 | 5-minute form, then approve | Finished 3D cartoon ad in 72 hours |

Frequently asked questions
Is the singer a real person?
No. The singing voice in a 30 Second Ad Factory song ad is AI.
Do you run the ads for me?
No. 30 Second Ad Factory makes the ad. You, or whoever handles your ads, puts it live on Facebook and sets the budget.
Will a song ad bring in more jobs?
Nobody can promise more jobs, and we don't.
The short version
Most Facebook ads for contractors sell the kitchen. The one that stands out sells a good night's sleep.
Pick one fear. Show it going away.
You can't film a no-show, and your evenings are already full of estimates. For a busy contractor, our done-for-you team is the best option: we hand you a finished ad to approve, with no tool to learn.
No ad can promise leads or sales, ours included. But yours won't look like the white kitchen next to it.
